You might know us for our computer vision-based bra fitting solution, which we developed to provide an accurate and seamless fit for lingerie shoppers. After months of testing and research, including studies and pilot programmes with brands like Something Wicked and Etam Groupe, we’ve gained valuable insights that have led us to take Brarista in a new direction.
Through our studies over the last six months, we discovered some crucial trends that reshaped our thinking:
Changing User Preferences: While we initially focused on computer vision technology, we learned that many users—particularly late and Gen Z shoppers—still prefer a sit-down experience when determining their bra size and fit. They value personalised guidance and expertise in the process, which was difficult to replicate with our original solution.
Impatience and Personalisation: Shoppers are increasingly impatient and want a curated, personal response to their questions. Instead of browsing through a website or answering a series of fitting questions, they prefer immediate, relevant answers tailored to their needs.
Retailer Needs: We also found that retailers are looking for ways to cut costs on customer service, especially with repetitive Q&As or FAQs. Our solution needed to do more than just fit bras—it had to take on the customer support role as well.
Operational Challenges: Lastly, we realised that our team was spending too much time on R&D, leaving us with limited capacity to meet client expectations and drive their success. We needed a more scalable, efficient way to offer value to both shoppers and retailers.
Introducing Brarista 2.0: The AI Bra Fitting Chatbot
Taking these learnings into account, we’re excited to announce Brarista 2.0, our pivot to a new, strategic solution—the world’s first AI Bra Fitting Chatbot. This chatbot will provide personalised, real-time answers to shoppers' fit and sizing questions, while also serving as a cost-effective customer service tool for retailers.
